This year's Isle of Wight Garlic Festival promises to be the biggest ever with up to 20,000 people attending. At its heart is our world famous Isle of Wight Garlic but we showcase the very best of Island produce. This year Dunsbury Lamb makes its debut, served in a variety of ways. Over 300 stalls will sell food and a diverse range of arts and crafts inside larger than ever marquees. Arrive hungry! You won’t miss the pungent aroma of our garlic; it flavours everything, hot crusty bread, moules, sweetcorn, prawns, lamb, beer, ice cream, coffee and lots more! This year there are many new items on the various menus. Our Bubblegum and Cheese stage features Alvin Stardust performing his top twenty hits and more! The Beatles are booked too, well, the Apple Beatles are as good as the real thing capturing the look and sound of the fab four! Both are supported by some of the best local bands, proving the Island nurtures some of the UK’s best musical talent. There’s a huge beer tent, cricket with the E.C.B, football, The Army, vintage and classic vehicles, tractors, buses and a major fun fair featuring rides making their first visit to the Island. This event helps raise money for many Island charities and good causes, including our sports teams. It supports local producers and traders. |
