Welcome...
If you're looking for a great day out filled with fabulous food, great stage and arena entertainment and hundreds of stalls to look around then look no further than the world famous Isle of Wight Garlic Festival!
In 2009 the Times said we were 'one of Britain's best food festivals.' Flattery indeed, but this green event is about much more than wonderful local food and garlic. It's family fun, entertainment, education and good causes.
Each year we proudly promote and support some of the island's best and it's not just a load of garlic! We have award winning local lamb, beef, pork, poultry, dairy products, fruit, vegetables and juices. We are certain you will agree some of Britain's best food is found here; take time to enjoy as much as you can manage. Of course there is a huge Garlic Marquee filled with...everything garlic! Garlic beer, garlic fudge, garlic ice-cream and much more!
Your attendance also means you are supporting many island charities, clubs and groups who all work hard to make this show such a success.
Our stage features world class talent, joined of course by the best local bands we can find. Recent guests have included; Mungo Jerry, The Foundations, Dr & The Medics, The Wurzels and Chas n Dave. Grab a beer and tap your toes!
Our main arena features TITAN the Robot (back for another year!) - once seen never forgotten. We usually offer a breathtaking headliner, as well as delightful sheep dog trials and talented pets. Our pledge is always a full day of entertainment. Recent acts included acrobats on the high wire, strongmen, stunt artists, the millennium wheel and many more.
Our smaller stage features Magic shows, Punch & Judy, Clowns, stilt walkers and entertainers, traditional fun for grown-ups and children of all ages.
This site can only give you a feel for this terrific event. We always add something new. Note the date of our next show is on 14th and 15th August 2010, come along and enjoy. We are certain you'll have a really good, great value fun day out!
